Goodbye kabonfootprint, I am out as It hurts me a lot.

With tears in my eyes I am pulling out of this competition. Sorry guys/gals, I am no more contesting in this competition. I am not here for blame & shame, neither this is a tactics to gain advantage, in fact i admit that I did a mistake participating in this contest. I just cant tolerate some one copy the domain name I have. but rule says you should have only one domain.

The internet is full of lies and misleading information, by promoting a fictitious creature I am not contributing any thing good to internet.

This is why I have presented my Kabon as a comic book hero and did my content and graphics plan accordingly. I have tried my best to present a different approach to participate in any SEO contest. I like to apply some creative thoughts, instead of going for a mere keyword rich page.

Now i don’t want to win this competition at all even though winning is pretty easy here.

Unable to understand the rules of the competition

I strongly argue that this competition has some major lapses in rules that allow some people who doesn’t have original concept, to capitalize the hard work of other people. So far we have achieved a lot and our site is an strong candidate to win this contest, but we have decided to get out of this competition.

Why I am pulling out?

A company seems from Chandigarh India is using kabonfootprintkabon.com which has been registered on 4th August 2008 much after I have registered the domain with hyphens kabonfootprint-kabon.com. This means more I am promoting my domain will definitely pass some traffic and advantage to domain without hyphen.

My Suggestions to them: Please get some original concept and use your creativity. If you are working for your client in real world, you are playing with his identity. Shady SEO techniques often leads to danger end and people can sue you in the court of law.

The rule should be clear

You can register anything with the keyword Kabonfootprint, but you are not suppose to use same domain similar to any contest entry. for example: you are not suppose to use kabonfootprintgov.com if some one is using kabonfootprint-gov.com the domain without hyphens will always considered as original one.

Each person has his own creativity

No 2 person can think same way, since I am using a domain with hyphens my entry will be always treated as duplicate entry over the person who is using without hyphens and that kills the spirit of game.

Why did I registered the domain with hyphens?

If you watch my domain whois closely you will find that I could have register any prime TLD’s except “kabonfootprint.com” together with this domain and easily get an advantage over my competitors. But I have a love with domain with hyphens and always curious to learn more about it’s performance. The contests are mean to test certain things which you cant do with your client’s site or your own site.

Even the person who have registered kabonfootprint.com extension can register all the other TLD’s and easily win the competition but they didn’t do that., simply because they like to work hard and earn their bread.

This not the first case

I have some bitter experience in past, where some companies copied my entire site and contents, later on they claim it was a mistake by their design and writing team. I have witnessed the case, where many companies changes their business model overnight, when they found I am a successful guy with my niche. I have tons of proofs, and I know what I am saying.

back to my work

Any way i have lot more important work to do, my clients, my work is more important for me than this contest.
