Animals are at great threat. With so much of brutal killings and hunting prevalent to obtain benefits from the skin, hair and other parts of animal’s body, the world is not far from a place that’s void of animals. There would be no zoos and our children need to be taught of wild life only through books features pictures of various animals.
Kabonfootprint found that, animals are constantly hunted for their flesh, skin, hair and other vital parts by the superior being on earth, the humankind to make perfumes, cosmetics, expensive leather, oil, fur or just to satisfy the taste buds.
Fortunately, there are many who have humane hearts and want to save animals from death and unnecessary cruelty and pain. However, what stops them is lack of time and money to emerge successfully as an activist.
Here are some effective ways to adopt in order to save animals from facing cruelty.
1. Kabonfootprint Mission One – Adopt shelter animals:
It is always better to shelter animals instead of purchasing them from a shop or breeder. Most of the time, shelter dogs are restricted to shelters because they are nervous or active. This gives people less time to train them. If you give these animals, a home of their own, they would not be put to sleep. Most of the times stores selling puppies, are usually supplied from ‘puppy mills’. These are breeding facilities that care about getting enough puppies to sell. Thee facilities do not give a damn about the living conditions of pregnant mother dogs. This often leads to litter of dogs with chronic diseases and conditions due to consistent in breeding.
2. Kabonfootprint Mission Two – Purchase animal-friendly products:
It is almost a ritual for most people across the globe to visit a grocery store at least once in a week in order to stock their home with requisite cleaning supplies and food articles. This is an excellent opportunity to display your ulterior feelings about animal. Try purchasing eggs coming from cage-free chicken. This will display your views related to the fact that animals need free space to move around and have a right to be free. You may also consider purchasing dolphin-safe tuna fish. Also try boycotting products that uses animals for testing.
3. Kabonfootprint Mission Three – Raise your voice to World Wide Web:
Most companies and individuals owning various organizations are really scared of bad publicity. Whenever you see someone or a specific organization doing anything against the well being of animals, raise your voice via speaking to the radio, press or talk shows.
4. Kabonfootprint Mission Four – Educate friends and family:
Keeping a cause or social aim to yourself will not help. You need to share it with people around you who understand you and would support you. Try speaking to them about what you feel and you would find a helping hand for your cause. Educating those close to you would definitely work.
